In the cold, wintry days when there isn't much to do in the garden, thoughts often turn to spring planting! Our space for annual flowers and vegetables is limited to the small, raised beds by the greenhouse, so I have restricted myself to spinach and lettuce for summer salads and trailing lobelia for the hanging baskets. Ken has decided to give carrots and basil a try this year.
