This weeked Ken picked three wheelbarrow-loads of Charles Ross apples, bringing this autumn's harvest nearly to the end. All that remain on the tree are the Bramley Seedlings. However, his racks of stacked trays are full (in our chilly front sitting room!), ready for further pressing and baking. We took an apple crumble to the Harvest Supper on Saturday and a bag of Ribston Pippin apples to the Harvest Thanksgiving service this morning.
