While I weeded in the long border this afternoon, a robin flitted from one branch to another of the nearby crab apple tree — keeping its eye on the upturned soil. Bramley was frustrated in his attempt to 'catch' the bird. No doubt the robin was disappointed, too, in not getting closer to a tasty, earthworm snack!
