For the first time this summer, we saw more than a single butterfly in the garden (other than cabbage whites!). Each year the buddleia seems to blossom earlier, and the butterflies come almost too late to benefit from their favourite food source. After several days of sudden downpours, the brilliant sunshine this afternoon brought our welcome and colourful new arrivals.
