Events for Children and Families

Every Sunday children of all ages are welcome to join in our worship and to learn more of God's love and the Bible with us. We are happy to accept  a level of noise to make our churches a place where all are welcome.

The first Sunday of each month has a more informal Praise and Worship Service at 10am in Weare Church. The box of percussion instuments allow all ages to join in.

Weare Church Children's Corner contains toys, books and activities for use during the service. The children may explore it themselves or you can join them and still be part of the main service.

The third Sunday of each month has a Family Service at 10am in Loxton Church. The box of percussion instuments allow all ages to join in.

Activity story bags, books and colouring sheets are available in all our Churches. 

All our Churches have good porches for dry parking of buggies. Buggy space inside the Church is easy in Compton Bishop, Weare and Badgworth, less easy in and Loxton and there is limited space inside for occupied buggies at Biddisham and Christon due to steps or limited space. Weare Churchroom (up the path next to the left of the main Church gate) has a toilet and nappy changing facilities, open during services. Compton Bishop has a permanent portable toilet sited in the Car park. 

Formal Sunday Gang was suspended in Crook Peak Parish at the end of December 2013, but children are welcome at all our services.
