Writing in the Sand - Book Launch On 19th October, Highlands author Angus Dunn launched his first novel 'Writing in the Sand' in Ottakars book shop with a talk and signing. The shop was packed for the event and everyone was thrilled by Dunn's introduction, his readings from 'Writing in the Sand' and by his cherry-red waistcoat. In response to questions from the audience, Dunn declined to reveal which of his supposed occupations was a lie, nor did he give a very candid answer to the question, 'Where do you get your inspiration'? On the other hand, he did evade the questions with a certain good-humoured style, and no-one seemed inclined to complain. For an hour, Dunn signed books as if born to the task, while Colin Bramwell and Ben Dunn played music to keep the crowds calm. (This worked rather well.) There was, we are informed, a soiree at Dunn's home afterwards, to which this reporter was not invited. Reports of the evening have been overwhelmingly positive.
