Fed up with buying expensive bottles of `Miracle grow` `Tomorite` etc. Why not try growing some comfrey plants where the leaves if deposited into a bin with a little water will produce a dark brown liquid which is equally as good as the fore mentioned. The comfrey plants will continue to grow and so you have a continual supply of an excellent food for your plants. Make a hole in the bottom of a bin and add a few stones for drainage. Raise the bin so you can put a container underneath to catch the liquid. Fill the bin up with the comfrey leaves stalks and all, and put a weight on like a brick to help compress the leaves. Add a little water and the leaves will start fermenting into a dark brown liquid, and fill your container underneath. Hey presto your plant food for nothing.
