Our A.G.M. for this year ( 2025) was held on 21/1/25 and we welcomed some new committee members to help run Toybox.
Care Inspectorate report 2024
We had an unannounced Care Inspection in March 2024 This was a very positive experience with really helpful feedback on ways to improve from our Inspector, Patsy. These included more formal written planning to meet individual children's needs as well as staff meetings. We received 3 areas graded 4 and one graded 5. We were delighted with some of the great feedback from parents:
"Toybox is an amazing childcare facility for all ages of children"
"An exemplary standard of care and attention is given to each individual child. It's like an extended family."
"Toybox is a role model! We love it!"
Funding - Toybox is not Local Authority funded so we are constantly fundraising to keep open - quite a challenge! We were therefore fdelighted to be awarded £16,000 over two years from the National Lottery
Toybox was 21! On 4th July 2014 Toybox held it's 21st Birthday party. We had loads of parents and children attending including one or two from our very early days. We'd like to thank Yasmeen from the Library for holding a great Bookbug session, Bruach Bakery for making our lovely cake and Jo for doing her juggling masterclass.
