Admission Policy and prices
Toybox offers flexible childcare for children aged 3 months - 12 years. We are registered with the Care Inspectorate and staff are all registered with the Scottish Social services council and either fully qualified or in the procedss of completing qualifications. All have current 1st Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection training.
To start - we welcome new users and invite them for an initial visit to Toybox. We have a settling in procedure offering free settling in sessions for our youngest users - contact us to arrange dates and times. Once a registration form is completed you're good to go!
Charges:
We have an annual registration fee of £5 per family ( not per child)
We recognise the varied working patterns of families in rural areas so have a flexible approach. We have a minimum charge of 1 hour per day and thereafter charge half hourly.
Charges from 1/8/16
Under 2 years old £4 per hour
2 years - 5/school age
(whichever is older) £3.50 per hour
Over 5/school age £3.25 per hour
Invoices must be paid within 10 days of issue.
Sickness is charged at 50% of the first day of any sickness.
Bookings:
These must be made at least a week in advance of the first day of care required to allow us to allocate extra staff if required. We are very busy some days so cannot always accommodate bookings but always try our best. Cancellations must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance or the space is charged for. Bookings must be made on a booking slip available ion the entrance hall or by e-mail or directly to staff in Toybox ensuring that staff have time to note your booking!
Booking priority goes to families who use us the most.
What do I need to bring?
Toybox provides a healthy snack and milk or water free of charge. You need to provide a healthy lunch (no sweets/ chocolate/juices etc), spare clothes especially if your child is toilet training ( which we will help with), nappies and wipes for babies/ children not toilet trained.
