Francis Smyth Baden-Powell was born on 29 Jul 1850, thr son of the Rev. Prof. Baden Powell and Henrietta Grace nee Smyth. He was educated at St Paul's School 1861-2 and then at Marlborough 1865-68 before going up to Baliol College, Oxford, from where he graduated BA 1876, MA 1878. He qualified as a Barrister of the Inner Temple, Adm. 9 Nov 1875;
He became a Painter & Sculptor; and a member of the Isthmian Club.
He lived at Milden House, Park Side, Wimbledon.
On 28 May 1902 he married Florence Watt in St Pauls Knightsbridge.
They had a son

Frank died in 1931 at the age of 80;
Florence (Sidney) Watt was the third daughter of James Watt of Napier, New Zealand.
