 Elda the nearest large town to Sax, has more of the true Spanish shops restaurant's and bars, also is the national registration for the Alicante Provence.  National Polica Station, and government offices for the area. Can be viewed here maps.google.co.uk/maps   Elda is the Shoe capital of Spain, there are hundreds of small shoe making factories scattered all around the area.  Elda also has a shoe museum where you can see the styles dating back to Roman days right up to the present, a must to see on your day out in Elda.
