Jamaicans in South Wales

We will be collecting histories of Jamaicans in South Wales to share and celebrate the very significant contribution they have and are still making! 

Sadly Mrs Betty Cambell passed away in 2017, check here for the obituary published in the Independent on 25/10/17:

"Betty Campbell was an inspiration to black pupils; a career pioneer; a community activist and racial education champion – and Black History Month in the UK can be traced back to her efforts in the 1970s. But Wales’s first black headteacher remained so grounded that she preferred to be known simply as Betty..... "
