Club Pairs Competition - 8th April, 2018.

We held our annual club pairs competition today at the Gretna Social Club, Gretna.

The competition was enjoyed by all and the points at the end of the competition were very close.  Everyone enjoyed the day and played very hard to add a competitive edge to the day.

The winners in the pairs competition were Sheila Warwick & Billy Render.

Billy thanked Graham for organising a successful competition, which was enjoyed by all competitors.

Runners up were Margaret Clarkson & Donald Johnstone.

Third position went to our new member Lucinda and our old member Frank!

Congratulations to all who competed and for making the day memorable.

Old Stories Are The Best!

One of the funny stories that never ages is the one about the well known skip who was having a hard time from the other three in his team who had failed to contribute anything throughout the game.

At the last end, the third walked down to the mat to play his first bowl and pausing, shouted back up the rink "Where's oor nearest bool".

"In yer ********hand!", answered the skip.
