Club Pairs Winners 2019

Sunday 28 saw the club Balloted pair take place Thirteen teams took part in two groups one of 7 and one of 6 they all played each other in their group with the winners of each group to meet in final they all played 8 ends 1 point per end won and 2 points per win

In the first group it was all very tight with 5 teams within 6 points of each other finally it was Sam Patterson and Isobel Render that won their group by 1 point over Margaret Clarkson and Harold Maughan

In group 2 right from the start it was between Joan Edgar as a loan player  with a different partner each time as her original partner couldn’t make it and Peter Woodley and Mark Thomson both teams winning 4 game out of 5 but it was Mark and Peter that won there group by 3 points to set up the final with Sam & Isobel

In the final it was Sam & Isobel that took an early lead winning the first end but Mark & Peter were just so consistent as lead Mark putting Isobel under pressure and Peter finishing it of with some great drawing and managed to win 11-5 well done both teams
