CLUB MANAGEMENT

 

ROB DUTTON - CHAIRMAN - Rob began volunteering in 2009 and soon became involved in various aspects of the Club, from poolside spotter, helping in the pool and as a committee member. Rob was an active sportsman having played football for Nantwich Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Whitchurch Alport. He is a former Network Rail manager, and has also served as a volunteer coach for the Assisted Needs football team at Cheshire Blades FC. In 2015, Rob won the 'Volunteer of the Year Award' at the Everybody Sports & Recreation Awards.

NICOLE LAWSON - VICE-CHAIR - Nicole, who works as a nurse practitioner at Leighton Hospital, assists on the poolside by encouraging swimmers and preparing them for the galas. Nicole is also the Halliwick regional representative (ASTRA 8). Nicole first got involved with Seahorse when her grand-daughter joined the Club in 2010.​

GARETH ROBERTS - SECRETARY/CHIEF INSTRUCTOR - Gareth started volunteering in 1996, and has served as secretary since 2006. His support for people with disabilities extends further as a trustee at the Wingate Special Children's Trust, having previously served as a trustee at the Lady Verdin Trust. Since 2012, Gareth has been a Bicycle Instructor in schools and in inclusive settings, following a 30-year firefighting career with Cheshire FRS.

ELAINE EVANS - TREASURER - Elaine first came to Seahorse in the early-1990s. She served on the committee for several years and also as secretary. Elaine who worked as a secretary at Leighton Hospital, is now back at Seahorse after taking a break, and assists on the poolside.

DEBBIE MURRAY - MEMBERSHIP/REGISTRAR - Debbie joined the Seahorse committee in 2018. She also serves on the management committee at Cheshire Buddies.

DAVID BROUGH - SAFEGUARDING - David, who has also volunteered as a scout leader for over 20 years, joined the Seahorse committee in 2023. 

GENERAL COMMITTEE

JACKIE ROBERTS, JANE CARROLL, MICHELLE BROUGH, CHARLOTTE BRAMALL, DAN BRAMALL

JACKIE ROBERTS - Jackie became a volunteer in 1996. She assists on the poolside and has served on the committee since 1998, organising social events and assisting at galas. Jackie trained as a nurse in 1977 after volunteering at Leighton Hospital in her teens. During her 40 year career she worked in hospitals, the community and at a special school. Jackie supports adults with disabilities for Shared Lives (CEC) these days, and is a trustee at the Wingate Special Children's Trust.

JANE CARROLL - Jane joined the committee in 2018. She helps out on the poolside and at the galas and works at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.

MICHELLE BROUGH - Michelle joined the committee in 2025, having served on Seahorse's committee and as secretary in previous years. These days Michelle works as a Support Worker for Choice Support.
