CLUB MANAGEMENT

 

SEAHORSE OFFICIALS

ROB DUTTONCHAIR - Rob began volunteering at Seahorse in 2009. He has been involved in many aspects of the Club, from poolside spotter, helping in the pool and on the committee. Rob works as a manager with Network Rail and also volunteers as a football coach for the Assisted Needs team at Cheshire Blades Football Club.

MICHAEL ROBERTS BEM - VICE CHAIR/VICE PRESIDENT - Michael started as a helper in the water in 1965, when he was in his early 20s. He has fulfilled various roles at Seahorse including as Chair of the Club. Michael, a former train driver, served the community for many years as Councillor for Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council and was honoured to be Mayor in 2002/03.

STEPH EVANSON - TREASURER/SOCIAL COMMITTEE - Steph, who works as a Teaching Assistant at Springfield School in Crewe, has been volunteering at Seahorse since 1999. She assists with the swimmers in the pool and has been a long standing committee member.

GARETH ROBERTS - SECRETARY/CHIEF INSTRUCTOR - Gareth began volunteering in 1996 and has been secretary since 2006. He is also a Trustee at the Lady Verdin Trust, who provide support to people with disabilities. Gareth, a former firefighter of 30 years, has been delivering Bikeability training in schools throughout Cheshire and Staffordshire since 2012.

ELAINE EVANS - MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY/REGISTRAR - Elaine first came to Seahorse in the mid-1990s. She served on the committee for several years and also as secretary. Elaine who works as a secretary at Leighton Hospital, is now back at Seahorse after taking a break, and assists on the poolside.

ANN TRINER - Ann has been involved with Seahorse since 2004. In recent years she has helped to prepare the swimmers for the galas.

LISA REYNOLDS - SAFEGUARDING OFFICER - Lisa volunteers behind the scenes at Seahorse, collating the DBS checks.

JACKIE ROBERTS - GENERAL AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE - Jackie trained to be a nurse in 1977 after volunteering at Leighton Hospital in her teens. During her 40 year nursing career she worked in hospitals, in the community and in a special school. Jackie became a volunteer at Seahorse in 1996 and has served on the committee most of that time.

NICOLE LAWSON - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Nicole, a nurse practitioner at Leighton Hospital assists on the poolside by giving encouragement to the swimmers and helping them to prepare for the galas. She first got involved with Seahorse when her grand-daughter joined the Club in 2010.

PAM MULLINER - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Pam has been involved with Seahorse for over 25 years, having served as the Club's Registrar for many years. Pam is also an honorary member.

SHEILA EDWARDS - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Sheila has been volunteering since 2003. She served as treasurer for several years and also helped out with the galas.

BAZ GIBSON - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Baz enjoys his involvement with Seahorse. He has been assisting in the pool since 2012 and joined the committee the following year. 

SEAN SAVAGE - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Sean joined Seahorse in 2011 and regularly swims for the Club at the Halliwick Galas. Sean, who has been a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospice (Cheshire) since 2012, represents the swimming members on the committee.

DEBBIE MURRAY - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Debbie joined the committee in 2018. She is also a committee member at Cheshire Buddies. 

JANE CARROLL - GENERAL COMMITTEE - Jane joined the committee in 2018. She helps out on the poolside and works at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.
