CLUB MANAGEMENT

 

ROB DUTTON - CHAIRMAN - Rob began volunteering in 2009 and soon became involved in various aspects of the Club, from poolside spotter, helping in the pool and as a committee member. Rob, who is a former Network Rail manager, has also served as a volunteer coach for the Assisted Needs football team at Cheshire Blades FC.

NICOLE LAWSON - VICE-CHAIR - Nicole, who works as a nurse practitioner at Leighton Hospital, assists on the poolside by encouraging swimmers and preparing them for the galas. Nicole first got involved with Seahorse when her grand-daughter joined the Club in 2010.​

GARETH ROBERTS - SECRETARY/CHIEF INSTRUCTOR - Gareth started volunteering at Seahorse in 1996, and has been secretary since 2006. He has been a Bikeability Instructor (cycling proficiency) in schools throughout Cheshire East & Staffordshire since 2012, having previously served as a firefighter for 30 years. Gareth is a former trustee at Lady Verdin Trust (supporting people with disabilities). 

ELAINE EVANS - TREASURER - Elaine first came to Seahorse in the mid-1990s. She served on the committee for several years and also as secretary. Elaine who works as a secretary at Leighton Hospital, is now back at Seahorse after taking a break, and assists on the poolside.

DEBBIE MURRAY - MEMBERSHIP/REGISTRAR - Debbie joined the Seahorse committee in 2018. She also serves on the management committee at Cheshire Buddies.

DAVID BROUGH - SAFEGUARDING - David, who has also volunteered as a scout leader for over 20 years, joined the Seahorse committee in 2023. 

GENERAL COMMITTEE

JACKIE ROBERTS - Jackie became a volunteer at Seahorse in 1996. She assists on the poolside and has been a long standing committee member since 2000. Jackie trained as a nurse in 1977 after volunteering at Leighton Hospital in her teens. During her 40 year career she worked in hospitals, the community and at a special school. 

KAREN TOMLINSON - Karen began volunteering in 2018. She assists swimmers in the pool and encourages them to reach their full potential. Karen also volunteers at Autism Networks.

JANE CARROLL - Jane joined the committee in 2018. She helps out on the poolside and at the galas and works at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.
