FUNDRAISING

Seahorse SC has been fortunate to receive donations from individuals, businesses and local organisations for many years.

Swimmers and volunteers have also raised their own Club funds in all manner of ways, by organising jumble sales, coffee mornings, raffles, fashion shows, bingo nights, cheese and wine evenings, car boot sales, duck races, bike rides, sponsored swims and walks.

This funding has enabled swimmers to compete in galas throughout the UK, obtain vital equipment to assist them in the pool, and to enjoy social functions and days out.

As well as raising their own Club funds, members of Seahorse have raised funds for other good causes and charities by taking on challenges, such as sponsored swims. They have also assisted the Rotary Club of Crewe with their Christmas float.

Over £20,000 has been raised for other causes in recent years, of which £1,734 has been raised for Children In Need (2017 - 2024).

Fundraising for other causes gives Seahorse members a sense of achievement and boosts their self esteem, while at the same time, improving their overall health.
