Our Aims & Curriculum

We Want Your Child To Have A Good Education

At Rose Abbey we endeavour to make learning rich and meaningful.   We are committed to achieving excellence in our academic and creative curriculum and this is achieved through careful planning alongside a willingness to grasp any opportunities that exist for widening and deepening learning experiences.     We also respect and involve parents in the care and education of their child.

We have a holistic approach to a child's education, that places moral, social and emotional development high on our list of priorities.   Our ultimate aim is that children leave Rose Abbey Nursery School with a love of learning, that will go with them into their next phase of education, which in turn will give them the foundation for a happy and successful future.

Rose Abbey Nursery School encourages every child to be safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected and involved in their own learning.

A broad range of experiences will be provided in line with  the Curriculum for Excellence to ensure all of our children make good progress in key aspects of their development and learning.    In addition, on at least a monthly basis parents will be asked to give their own ideas on improving the children's experiences.

Rose Abbey Nursery School aims to ensure that every child's full potential may be realised.   A high level of care and education will be provided using the National Care Standards (0-16), How Good is our School 3 (HGIOS3) and The Child at the Centre 2 as guidelines for implementing new procedures, policies and to improve standards of care via monitoring and self-evaluation.

Rose Abbey Nursery School will identify and provide relevant training for staff, including that to meet GTC and SSSC registration requirements.
