Brian Buxton's Message

Dear Fellow Members and Supporters,

Well, things don’t get any better do they? In fact day by day they get worse.  Our once proud, independent country is almost bankrupt

At this moment in time the Conservatives, by doing and saying nothing, are 19% ahead of Labour in the polls. This says to me, that if we had a General Election tomorrow, a large number of voters would put the Tories into Government and think our troubles would be over.  Sadly, WRONG.

The Conservatives would have a massive majority, giving Mr Cameron the powers of a dictator, the same as Mr Brown has now. Is this what we want? I certainly don’t.

I wish to see a new government, an alliance of honest people, with a new vision for our country and where greed is not the top priority. A fairer, more tolerant society, where more responsibility and decisions are made locally, and hospitals and councils are answerable to local residents.

The reason we are in the mess we are today is due to successive governments, over the past thirty years, moving all the power and decision making to Whitehall, then making the wrong decisions often decided by party doctrine.

What can we, the electorate do? And please, don’t answer "Nothing".

We all have the power of a vote.  Surely it makes sense to unite under a new banner and tell the three old outdated parties, that we have had enough - that we are going to change things and recapture our democratic rights and independence.

It can be done if we all have the willpower and determination to leave our grandchildren a better country. Please tell your family and friends to have a look at our website.  If they agree with us, join us, and even better give us and hour or two a week to spread the word.

I would love to hear from you.  Please send your comments or suggestions to our editor Craig Chapman.   In the meantime, take care,

Yours Sincerely,

Brian Buxton.
