Popular Alliance, as a newish and relatively small (compared to the main 3) party realise that far more co-operation between smaller parties will be needed if the tide of unrest and distrust of our main parties in the UK, is going to ever suceed in offering a major alternative. Certainly if the LibDems are the answer, we cannot imagine what the question might be.

Popular Alliance is keen to act as an umbrella management group for numerous single issue groups and as well as working closely with other like-minded parties.

The recent splinter party from UKIP, UK Frist, is certainly one group that we have been in contact with and we are keen to grow closer over coming months. Many of our aims and motives are similar and we hope that this mature co-operation can grow successfully.

The problem that many single issue groups have had in the past, starts when they try to broaden their views and policy base - some bitter and immature behavoir has followed in several cases. It remains a fact that a single issue group could never hope to stand in government, but then again, the regular Labour/Tory roundabout needs challenging as a party should not automatically win an election simply because their main rival is so poor.
