So, I'm a Bastard - Deal With It !!

by Craig Chapman - Party Leader - 08:05 on 10 October 2011

I found myself and the family in London yesterday helping my son with a university planning project, when we couldn't cross Westminster Bridge on our bus thanks to a line of police vans and a Unite protest.

We got off the bus and walked over the bridge on the far footpath from the ranting bloke with the microphone who was stirring the crowd with "we're going to take Parliament, we're going to take London..... etc."

A girl wearing a reflective Unite apron offered me a flier which I declined, saying "you must be joking."

She went off the deep end, with steam almost coming out of her ears.

I explained, "I work in the private sector and I didn't see you lot out protesting for us when Gordon Brown raped our pensions 7-8 years ago and regulated many of our employers out of business, so why should I support a crowd of people who voted for that man ?"

More steam, so I walked off.

Once I reached a safe distance she squealed, "BASTARD !!!"

Very brave and thoughtful.

I have symapthy for anyone losing a job or losing a percentage of their pension, I've been there and dealt with it in a responsible manner without trying to wreck our capital city. We have a worldwide financial crisis going on, with our own nation struggling. Gordon Brown took away many of regulations that could have saved our banks from being dragged so far into the mire - nice foresight, you meddling idiot !!

These people should for one moment consider just where their wages, pensions and in many cases these days, places of work come from - profits and tax raised from the PRIVATE SECTOR !! The very sector that the idiot these people voted for, tried so hard to ruin.

I do not for one second consider that we should not have some state-run organisations, (eg) NHS, schools, councils etc, and I think the government should own at least 51% of our railways. So many people work hard and do a superb job in these sectors and I spent 14 years in the army myself, but I will not stand by and watch ungrateful, non-thinking, union-led commies like yesterday's drama queens bring our nation down with their selfish, red-eyed view of the world.

... and for the imature squealer in London yesterday, I'm one of the Bastards who works to pay your wages and whilst your pensions were being happily fed by King Gordon, mine became pulp several years ago. Where was your solidarity then, eh ?

There were also a good number of the professionally-unemployed, unwashed, turn-up-for-any-protest types on hand. Judging by the number of anti-police vans I saw dash towards the back of Westminster and Lambeth bridges, I'd say they took the "taking of Parliament Square speach a little too literally."

Oh yes, the solidarity between the Union leaders and the actual workers who were present is a joke. Union leaders are commonly paid £100K+ salaries and don't riot during the summers of discontent because they off finding exotic destinations to spend some of the wage packets - brother !!
