AV - Sense at last

by Craig Chapman - 12:20 on 07 May 2011

Thank God the UK voters have demonstrated some common sense and shoved the AV voting option exactly where it deserves to be.

Clegg's wittering blames the Tory led cuts. He's obviously deluded. The reason people don't want this farcial method of voting is that it might well result in Lib Dem government which would be an even bigger catastrophe than having Gordon Brown back.

The Lib Dems actually got fewer votes in last year's election than in their previous 2 attempts, but by default got into an unsuited coalition government, yet they still delude themselves and believe the UK supports ( and needs) them. We don't !!

Now that so many people have got to see the Lib Dems "in action" (surely there's a better term could be used here), the public simply doesn't like what it sees and votes against them and any system by which they might benefit.

It is a good sign that the public has taken note of the Lib Dem disease. They have polluted the politics Labour & Conservative for enough years already with their soft on crime, big on Europe and spend money we haven't got policies.

Let us hope that the public continues its alertness and decides to look where the next best options to the usual big 3 may lie.

Carole Malone wrote in her Sunday News of the World column, "The Lib Dems really are bunch of carping, whingeing cry babies. The Lib Dems don't like the truth. They actually don't give a toss what the electorate wants despite the fact that they are telling us we live in a democracy."

The Lib Dems have spent so long on the sidelines with no responsibilities for their ridiculous and poisonous policies that they are simply not used to having act in a responsible manner. Just listen to Cable and Huhne (if you can for more than 5 seconds), talk about throwing your toys out of the pram !! They care so little for the country and the appalling economy inherited from the dreadful Labour government, they are more interested in tearing apart our enforced version of an emergency government at a time when the only agenda should be sorting out our economy and building some form of economic stability for our future.
