Conserberal

by Craig Chapman - 07:14 on 21 May 2010

I've got pros and cons with the Conserberal government.

Pros (i) they got rid of Labour !!

(ii) Cameron is basically anti-EU and Euro but too scared to do much about it

(iii) Cameron wants to make the British public more responsible for their actions

(iv) The Tories want to help British businesses become more competitive worldwide

(v) Chris Huhne, the environment bloke they brought in is not so keen on nuclear power and wants to prove that other sources (wind and wave) can be better for us

vi) Cameron is an Aston Villa fan !!

Cons (i) It is the influence of the bloody Liberal Democrats that has weakened our society and allowed these ridiculous EU Human Rights laws to ruin our fair society - victims must come first and aggressors must get what is due to them, regardless of any pathetic hardship they might wimper on about  !! Popular Alliance also suggest that the slimy lawyers who argue for aggressor's rights over those of the victims, should be treated the same as the aggressors - a sharp poke in the eye would be nice, for starters !!

(ii) The LibDems love the EU

(iii) The equality woman the LibDems have put forward is a complete idiot and 100% the sort of person I refer to in Cons (i)

Now what needs to be remembered is that the LibDems only have 9% of the number of seats that the Tories do. A quick show of hands should suffice on any sticky issues

One thing that confuses me - if Cameron truly wants to help British business so much, then why are we still a part of the European Union. Most of the regulation he and his Chancellor refer to, comes from the EU. Meanwhile, most of our EU payments are spent on improving business infrastructure in countries like Poland, Portugal and Czech Republic, who can then outbid our companies for contracts and offer a cheaper workforce. This needs looking into David. Our EU membership is illegal according to existing aspects of the British Constitution (Bill of Rights), so a simple referrendum will suffice to pull us out of the greed pit in Brussels.

Our EU membership is not necessary for us to trade with Europe. Norway and Switzerland do just fine on their own and also have the strongest banking systems in Europe, despite the rest of the world falling on its collective face. The 1975 referrendum on the Common Market gives our government the mandate to set up common sense trading links and agreements in Europe - no more, no less. There is no reference to them acting as a potentate, controlling the law of our land.

In fact, the EU's bullying of economies such as Greece, Spain and Portugal, forcing them into acting like their Northern European counterparts, has been a major factor in their economies falling apart. Their whole set up has been so out of kilter with that of Germany, there has never been any benefit for them to share a currency, in fact is was dangerous to consider it back then and its even worse now. Italy & Ireland likewise.

Chancellor Merkel might be whinging about things now, but it has been Germany's and France's attitudes in dominating EU actions that has caused this collapse in the first place.
