The 2nd Twit - tering

by Craig Chapman - 08:55 on 25 April 2010

Having watched most of the 2nd twittering of UK political leaders, the first thing that has struck me is the amount of people suddenly having an opinion on politics.

Having tried like hell to introduce a new party - Popular Alliance - to endless ears that refuse to even discuss politics - suddenly there is an endless group of people paying attention to the idiot who has completely ruined and given away our nation, and the other 2 guys who have consistently not been good enough to blow his out of the water during the last 13 years.

So, whilst its good to finally hear that our population realises there is someone in Westminster who should have a great effect on their lives and levels of taxation, the general public still only recognises these 3 as their future hopes. God help us.

All 3 represented their own parties very well in the 2nd Tv debate. Whether you agree with their policies and actually believe them is a completely different question though.

At least David Cameron tried, though rather feebly, to tackle the other 2 on Europe, he kept falling short of asking Gordon Brown why no-one under the age of 57 in the UK has had any say in our position in the European Common Market / Union.

What these people fail to realise is that being against the EU is not being anti-European. Bagpuss Brown quickly defends our trading with Europe and says we'll lose out if we pull out of the EU. Rubbish - the 2 strongest European nations following the bank collaspes are Norway and Switzerland, both whom are not EU members, but they and effectively and happily trade with all EU member nations and beyond without, as Clegg suggests, any loss of effect. We can trade with anyone whom we wish and probably get a better price if we are not dictated to by the EU, a bottomless drain of our nation's resources. The original Common Market agreement itself had merit, a bit of trading and police co-ordination - excellent ideas, but not the monster they have grown, dictating our laws, tax, bank interest levels, immigration, employment, housing, transport and energy issues to us.

We were last consulted on this matter in 1971 in a loaded referrendum, which resulted in the United Kingdom having a trading agreement with some other European countries. That is all that we have agreed to. To now have over 50% of our laws dictated by someone called Van Rumpoy in Brussels is an act of treason by anyone involved in handing over such power. That is the word of the British Constitution, and yet this was not mentioned during a live TV debate on this very matter, which included the man who has signed a European Constitution without our blessing.

Please read the tab on your left screen, labelled EU Treason for more in depth details. These are facts that have been deliberately hidden from an ignorant British public, many of whom still do not realise that our UK flag, the Union Jack (yes, its correct name) is repeatedly flown upside down by the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Still these 3 men mince around the safe edges of each subject they are asked about, completely failing to try and harmonise their set of policies to compliment each other and save billions of repeatedly wasted tax payer's pounds,  as our government collides from one short sighted crisis into another, each self-inflicted through appalling mis-management of our nation.

Oh dear - whose idea was it to let Lord Pearson loose on the Politics Show without advising him that UKIP is trying to have more than one policy. He only had 2 prepared sentences and was so out of his depth, it was beyond cringeworthy !!!
