One Big, Complimentary Policy

by Craig Chapman - 14:43 on 12 April 2010

How many people have been reported in newspapers and TV interviews, asking what they see as the most important policies to figure in the forthcoming election debates ?

This shows that the press are as blind and poor at management as the political parties are.

Do these people not realise that this singular approach to inividual policies is as much behind our nation's woes, as any underhand dealing might be.

We need policies that compliment each other, that solve not only one subject but also allow others to benefit, eg :-

Private Sector jobs - these will never grow when a government has to over burden businesses to pay for the Prime Minister's short coming and endless army of paper crunchers. This subject requires harmonisation between corporation tax, EU employment law, immigration, national insurance, education & graduates of employable calibre, beneficial energy rates for businesses, beneficial fuel rates for transportation..........and vice versa

Immigration - we are told what our policies and laws will be by the unelected windbags in Brussels. This policy has a huge impact on the NHS, Education, Housing, British Culture, Welfare....... and vice versa

Just two examples already cover most of the policies being debated out there. We need a government with complimentary policies and a leader experienced and capable of blending them. So far, this person has not been put forward as our potential new Prime Minister.

It does our nation no favours to be shuffling and hiding short term catastrophe after catastrophe in the manner that Labour has done for 13 years and in which the Tories did prior to that.

Secondly - have any of the supposed main parties (read funded parties) not considered that many of the claims they make in their manifestos are completely unachievable as those decisions lie in Brussels - the control given away amongst all manner of treasonous underhand dealing ?

They have no right to claim that crooks will serve their full terms, that we will improve immigration, that schools might reduce class sizes whilst our immigration soars, that indujstry will prosper whilst we can only work a few hours each day, that green targets will be met whilst North Sea wind farms topple on unsteady bases, whilst we can't fish our own waters, whilst we worry about renaming the English Channel..... or has no one told them yet ?

As usual, the UKIP manifesto reads superbly, but so far their leaders and MEPs have failed to carry out any of their threats in Brussels (besides calling the EU leader blooke a list of playground names). They haven't even turned up to vote on the issues featured on the front page of their website yet.

The truest statement made anywhere so far comes, pianfully, from the Scottish Socialist Party, who state that the Labour government has repeatedly EXPLOITED the British public. That's the most accurate damnation of their actions yet and does not need to veer anywhere near to insults to retain its impact.

I totally agree with the issues and sentiments raised in this blog, in particular the final paragraph.
The gang at the top of the once proud Labour Party have truly exploited everyone around them, the system, the country and most importantly the people.
It is a tragedy that Brown could remain in place in the event of a hung parlaiment which means he did not have enough voting for him when he was never elected in the first place.
Great Blog, hope it gets widely read.
