Transport to Pay Off Govt Bills

by Craig Chapman - 16:26 on 18 September 2009

We can all imagine a far more apt "C" word for Mr McBrown than "cuts" but we do need to hear the truth from this man once and for all.

So where are these cuts going to come from and how is it going to affect us ?

You can bet they will come from areas that further hit the pockets of Britain's workers, because we can guarantee there will be no changes made to the criminal amount we throw at our workshy, feckless and feral - both the indigenous and the newcomers.

It would be so more useful for EVERYONE on this overcrowded island, to cut the benefits to these leeches, mending the leaks in the budget rather than figuring out more ways of filling a leaky bucket.

One target for as little monetary input as possible over coming years, is for Britain's drivers - surprise surprise !!

The 10 year transport budget of £28.9billion is to be ravaged, whilst above inflation rises on fuel and road taxation will ensure the British drivers continue to bail out this sorry government.

Another angle to this vehicular rape is about the start in Nottingham where staff are going to be charged £250.00 per annum to park their cars at work. This figure will rise to £350.00 by 2012. The scheme will be known as the Workplace Parking Levy (WPL) and stinks to high heaven.

Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Chambers of Commerce are planning to oppose this abomination and may we suggest a platoon of our very finest soldiers convey their message at Westminster - with bayonets fixed !!

Meanwhile, we imagine our EU contributions will continue to build new roads, railways and power stations in distant new EU member countries. I have never seen a less used motorway than the Lisbon to Algarve highway (built with EU money) and it comes to mind each time I find myself staring at fields, going absolutely nowhere on the M42, M1 and M6 !!

Oi Gordon, we've been 'ad !!
