Is Iran less democratic than the UK ?

by Craig Chapman - 06:53 on 24 June 2009

Whilst we watch in horror at the street demonstrations and the brutality of the government forces in Iran and we wonder if the claims of protestors are true (we don't get to hear from anyone who voted for the existing president from our not-very-impartial media), we also wonder how our own unelected Prime Minister has the gall to feel he is entitled to comment on their situation and question their levels of democracy.

He is unelected, not wanted and embarrasses our nation on a daily basis.

His cabinet is largely unelected after he found himself unable to control the previous table of idiots and freeloaders - all chosen by him.

He is controlled by his predecessor through the unelected Peter Mandleson, who has had previous financial problems that would likely result in a non-politician being dragged through the courts.

He has presided over the finances of the government and therefore the country, taking us into unprecidented levels of debt, leading to thousands of jobs being lost. The Bank of England Chief cannot stand him.

He has also presided over endless fraud by those in parliament, saying that after 12 years of running the scams, he'll be the one to clean it up - strange that only he, out of 60 million Brits, actually trusts him to do this.

He lied over the Lisbon Treaty contents and our promised referendum, signing away our nation to foreign rule and taking away our democratic right to have a say in the matter.

He won't step down even after his party came 5th in some areas in the recent EU elections and 3rd overall. I'm amazed that anyone can find a reason to vote for this idiot and his party of arrogant fraudsters.

Iranians are portrayed to us by the media and government as unstable Muslims, in an axis of evil. I actually envy the spirit of these people who take to the streets. They believe that their democratic rights have been ignored and taken away. Meanwhile 99% of the UK sits on its collective backside and lets a bunch of unelected fraudsters rake in even more of our taxes for their nests, fully intent on handing even more power to more unelected frausters overseas.

To the Iranian people - good luck

To our government - SOD OFF !!

THE DONCASTER MAVERICK

The new mayor of Doncaster is a member of the English Democrats Party and whilst their website suggests a pretty liberal approach to British life, we like this guy a lot.

Doncaster has had some pretty awful labels in recent years (eg) Shag City, Britain's fattest town, 8 child deaths linked to social services cock-ups and a dodgy Labour MP who is high up the expenses scandal list.

The town's people had obviously had enough of all that and when offered a credible alternative, they voted for him. Democracy actually does exist in one small corner of Britain and well done the Doncaster residents.

Political Correctness is out the window, along with endless translations, scores of non-jobs holders in the council (facilitators, meddlers, etc, on silly wages), he has turned down a Mayor's car and no doubt numerous Liberally minded media representatives will find fault in all that he does. Well damn them, because he is doing what his manifesto said he would do and that is what the people of Doncaster democratically asked for.

BORIS DOES A CAPELLO

London Mayor Boris Johnson has taken a leaf out of England manager Fabio Capello's book.

The Fab one told Wayne Rooney that if he wants to score more goals, perhaps he should try standing in front of the goal more often - genius !!

Boris has listened to the reports of so much violence on trains and buses in the capital, so he has started putting police on them. Low and behold, the bus and train crime rates drop 30% !!

Let's have more common sense out there please folks. Check out our polices at www.popularalliance.org
