Trough Guzzlers In Westminster

by Craig Chapman - 14:38 on 01 May 2009
Update 9th May

Popular Alliance would like to thank all of the daily newspaper columnists who saw fit to almost copy this blog in their pages this week. Whether that happened by co-incidence or not, can we please have some reference to what our party is saying and doing in your columns. We are a registered polictical party with policies exactly along the lines of what you scream for in your regular columns. If you believe in what you are writing, then forget the 3 gormless parties that get all the headlines for their errors and write about a party promoting exactly what you keep calling for. Thank you

How have we arrived at a point where our country's leadership stumbles aimlessly from one daily catastrophe to another ?
It really is no fun for anyone in this country to live through this fumbling and I for one would much rather be getting on with life than straining my brain to offer alternatives to their daily calamities. I really do not wish to be giving up so much time helping to create common sense policies that we desperately need as a nation, when a crowd of politicians with far more qualifications than I could even hope to achieve should be able to do that for us. I live in hope !!
Their entire existence is one of trial and error and given their arrogant outlook and complete lack of experience of having jobs beyond sitting in green leather chairs and examining the greying scalp in front of them in Westminster, it is a sad situation very few of those elected to rule on our behalf (and this is another point they often forget) they rarely learn from any of their mistakes. Its one embarrassing U-Turn after another embarrassing U-Turn.
LibDems leader, Nick Clegg (I even used his correct name for once), Joanna Lumley and the readers of The Sun newspaper have made a massive statement in reversing the awful decisions of our Labour government to deny the honourable Ghurka soldiers a right of residence in the UK, whilst they allow in every other Tom, Dick and Abdul, regardless of their skills, financial positions, state of health and political leanings.
Popular Alliance hope that the retiring Ghurkas can also be offered jobs working for the UK Border Police to help round up and eject those who should not be here. The Ghurka regiments did a superb job in this role in Hong Kong for many years and I am proud to have served alongside some of them.
The Labour government have bankrupted the country, given away most of our lawmaking, permitted the cultural face of every town and city upon our shores to change forever and insulted us with racist slurs whenever someone has had the balls to speak out.
We are most likely heading for a Tory government with David Cameron no doubt in charge. How short are people's memories ? The Tory's record in boom, bust and sleaze isn't far behind that of the Blair/Brown years. William Hague has initimated in recent days that they will offer us a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty which is good news and we hope that they present ALL the pros and cons in an honest manner - if we haven't all died of Swine Flu by that time !!
I'd love to put my feet up after a long day at work, but with this bunch of lying traitors in charge, I can't relax, I'm too wound up by their constant betrayals and deceit.
Hate is big word to use, but that is exactly the term that many are now using to describe Gordon Brown and his bunch of trough guzzlers. It is also a very dangerous word and perhaps he should come down off his arrogant cloud, realise this fact and do the honourable thing. As if !!
