Fradley / Curborough ECO Town Updates

by Richard Holloway - Press Release - 14:43 on 17 July 2008
Dear All,
I would like to confirm that the Fradley Site is no longer being consider as a potential ECO TOWN location by the Government. This has now been officially announced by the housing minister.
However, even under the current economic constraints, and that Redrow Homes announced a 40% cut in its workforce, they are still going to progress with their bid to develop 5000 homes - so unfortunately we cannot rest and have to continue with our fight.
With this in mind, we are in the process of organising a Public meeting on the 6th August at the Village Hall in Fradley - (see www.FACTinfo.co.uk for Fliers and Posters, please feel free to print a copy and stick on noticeboards etc, in order to make people aware).
We have decided to arrange this meeting to show what we have done, how your voices were heard and what we are going to do now in order to STOP the developers doing anything. Your ideas and assistance in this process is needed more than ever now.
I have also attached a leaflet that we are going to be distributing shortly, to try and get more people to sign our petition.
I hope that you can all attend so we can understand your points of view and ideas as well for moving forward and stopping this development.
In the meantime, if you have any initial comments/points on the above or the attached materials, please do not hesitate to contact me
Thanks you all for your support
Richard Holloway
