Just who will be running our nation ?

by Chris Ellice - 08:08 on 28 October 2007
JUST WHO IS GOING TO BE RUNNING OUR NATION ?

As devolution in Scotland moves ahead with a wholly different package of free services for people than in England and Wales, we see Tory MP Malcolm Rifkind pressing for English-only issues to be voted upon by only English MPs, which then begs the question about what Cowdenbeath MP Gordon Brown will have to busy himself with all day, once he hands the rest of the decisions regarding the running of the United Kingdom, to the European Union.

The picture that many people paint of McGordon is one of a control freak and we could not have a clearer image of his inability to listen to anyone else than during House of Commons open sessions where he is clearly unable to accept that another breathing human being might have an idea different to his own, at which he becomes very flustered and unprofessional.

So, with this in mind, how can he bear handing over more power to the EU ? It is completely out of character for this stubborn man. He has waited 10 years for the Bliarman to step aside, only to tell us that we should accept being ruled by Brussels – and that goes for him as well – has he thought this through fully, we ask.

That’s as may be for us fools who obviously do not deserve democracy in McGordon’s eyes, but how is he going to accept being told what to do by Frau Merkel and a bunch of faceless tax hoovers, pontificating from Euroland ?

As we have said before, McGordon is being bullied by the EU. If indeed he performs at EU summits as he does in Parliament, then we really are in for a shock, if and when they get more of their slimy hands on our nation.

Local Parish polls are going ahead in the UK demanding the democratic rights of Referendum. Has any issue ever seen such moves in the rural heartlands ? Even whilst so many try their level best to ignore politics, it is great to see that some people do care about issues beyond the next winner of X-Factor, as described by the son of two Polish doctors, who couldn’t face another day at school on Tyneside and moved back to Poland. It seems Simon Cowell is succeding where our Home Office fails !!

Whether McGordon bothers to acknowledge the unearthing of Parish Polls is yet to be seen, but we believe that the best way to oppose us being sold to Europe is to badger our local MPs with demands that they stand up for a Referendum on the EU Constitutional Treaty when McGordon tries to push his package of Eurotrash through Parliament, in the process, denying us the very democracy that he has our troops fighting for in Iraq and Afghanistan. Perhaps his own interpretation of democracy is in line with that of Animal Farm ?

Gordon Brown, you are a very dangerous man, with a very complex inconsistency disorder, working in a job that is scaring the hell out of many of the citizens of the United Kingdom. We suggest that you go and exercise your Scottish right to see a doctor in Cowdenbeath and take a long course of free prescription, fair play tablets, followed by a long holiday somewhere very far way.

We hope that those who have a Labour MP will copy and paste the below letter and get as many people to forward this as possible :-

Dear…..

Re : EU Constitution / Treaty

At the last General Election, you were elected to the House of Commons on a manifesto which contained a promise of a referendum on the above issue.

I understand that an all party coalition of MPs is now launching a nationwide campaign to hold a referendum on the EU constitution / treaty.

Whatever personal views you hold on the EU, I would suggest that this matter is of such far reaching national importance (our continued existence as a nation state is in the balance) that the British people must be allowed to decide for them themselves, whether or not this constitution / treaty is signed.

As one of your constituents, I would ask you to honour the promise made in your manifesto.

Yours…..

And if your MP is from another party, then please copy and send this letter :-

Dear…..

Re : EU Constitution / Treaty

As you will be aware, there are widespread demands among MPs, UK businesses and the general public for a referendum to be held on the EU Constitution / Treaty.

Whatever personal views you hold on the EU, I would suggest that this matter is of such far reaching national importance (our continued existence as a nation state is in the balance) that the British people must be allowed to decide for them themselves, whether or not this constitution / treaty is signed.

As one of your constituents, I would ask you to :-

i) Campaign for a referendum

ii) Vote against any attempt to force this constitution / treaty through the House of Commons in the absence of a referendum

Yours……
Craig Chapman
