Music Cruises

The Highlands of Scotland are known throughout the world for it's traditional music, and Plockton is at its very heart. Some of the finest musicians of the west coast have been brought up in Plockton and its near neighbour the Isle of Skye. From the swirl of the pipes to the tunes of the fiddle, music and song has been part of Plockton life for as long as anybody can remember.

So what finer way to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Plockton and the Highlands, enjoying an evening of music and song on board the 'Sula Mhor', on one of our famous evening music cruises. 2009 saw the start of a series of evening cruises from Plockton up to the head of Loch Carron or across Loch Kishorn, in the shadow of the Applecross Mountains.

Cruises operate, weather permitting, some Thursday evenings throughout the season, and last around two hours.

Calum and the crew are delighted that for 2012 our resident band 'The Ale is  Dear' will once again be playing on board the 'Sula Mhor', for an evening full of fun and laughter, music and song, whisky and beer. Check the News Page for the date of the next cruise.

'Sula Mhor' usuallly sails at 7.00 pm and returns to Plockton at around 9.00 pm
