Giffard Pennant's story
Giffard Pennant was born around 1625 in Flintshire (?) in North Wales, and at around 30 he was Master of the Horse in Crowells force that took Jamaica in 1655. His death is recorded as 1676/7 aged around 51.
Between 1650 and 1676 he developed plantations in Jamaica, including Debigh and Pennants.
