A  young visitor has a bike that he would like to get into running order.Absolutely the rattiest, filthiest and unmaintained motorcycle you ever saw. Wiring in tatters, no ignition key, no compression and quite literally, no hope! A single cylinder machine with a simple carburettor (thank goodness!) with a dire history of being thrashed, neglected and being once destroyed by fire!

A bit of oil down the plug hole and vigorous kicking whilst the carb is removed and cleaned out. A rig with another coil and associated electrics is rigged up. Compression returns, so maybe the rings were a bit gummed up. The points are cleaned and timing set approximately. Then all systems go! It ran like a watch after a dozen kicks! Absolutely amazing! It should be MOT-able after a few weeks on the ramp before we hit the depths of winter.
