Charles II

Charles the second was born on the 29th of May in 1630 to both Charles I and Henrietta Maria of France (sister of King Louis XIII of France). Charles was thier second child/son but his brother had unforautnaley died within 24 hours after birth. After his dad, Charles I was executed there was one heir of Charles I, yes it was his son Charles II who was given the throne on the 30th of January in 1649. in 1665 a disaster occured, rather a disease that killed every body. THE PLAGUE. The plague was carried by rats from shore to shore and spread from italy to the UK rapidly killed hundreds and thousands of innocent people in a few month- there is a video below of the plague! It didn't stop there though, soon after two years of bad disease a another event occured known as the 'Great Fire of London' eventhough it ended the plague it still costed many amounts of money to rebuild London. After many years in 1677 he got married to his niece Mary. Charles II improved the British trade even better as he started trading with a vast anmount of different countries such as India where they get spices and of course- tea. Unfortunately Charles II's reign came to end on the 6th of February in 1685 as he died due to illness aged just 54! After he died, eventhough he had children with other mistresses he did not have it with his wife so therefore there was no hier to the throne so it was taken by James II.
