Betty

(1917 - 2004) was the wife of Violet's elder son Gervas.  Towards the end of her life, Violet lived with Gervas and Betty, and actually died in Betty's arms.

Betty married Gervas in 1936, when she was 19, and they went straight out to Northern Rhodesia, to a "bush station" with few modern facilities. 

She had four children,  Gill, Robin, Nigel and Crispin.
