Where we are from...

The lovely Swanage Bay enjoys the spring sunshine...

Durlston Bay, just around the corner from Swanage, with the Victorian "castle" visible up on Durlston Headland...

A view along the Durlston cliffline to Peveril Point, and its infamous rocky ledges, where ebb tides create dangerous currents, responsible for many a shipwreck...

One of the many uses of the world famous Purbeck stone; a small stone groyne protects from erosion at the Pierhead end of the bay.

Already passing into history; the old timber groynes, protecting the award winning beaches, now replaced with new ones since the summer of 2006.

Spectacular sunset over St Aldhelms point, Worth Matravers, just a few miles up the road...

Whilst back out at sea, it's not only the rocky shores that have led to the ruin of sea vessels... The speed at which the weather can suddenly turn is captured here; sunny skies one minute, a weather front moving in the next...

Corfe Castle, just up the valley...

...it's battered walls still foreboding, strong and ominous...

...with clear signs of the past greatness still visible...
