On Monday we travelled down to Drumnadrochit to take part in the Primary Shinty World Cup. It was a lovely sunny day when we arrived at the pitch and there were lots of teams from all over. We were in section two with teams from Newtonmore, Skye, Glenurquhart, Invergarry, Kinlochleven and Gaelic Green. There was a team from Farr also particpating as Sutherland Camanachd in section 1 so we spent a lot of time checking with each other and lending support, us Sutherland teams need to stick togther when we're out in the world! We got off to a great start and continued to play really well, winning four games out of the six played. There were some great goals from Liam and James, great saves from Fraser and really good play from Ruairidh, Iona, Stuart, Cameron, Molly and Matu. The shinty played was great and at the same level as the teams from real Shinty country. Well done guys!!
