We had a great day last Saturday when we hosted the sixes tournament at the KLB football pitch and village hall. We had a great turnout of teams from Farr, Thurso and Wick to take part in the 14 & Under and Open sections. We had two teams in the 14 & Under section, Sophie captained the older, more experienced team while Mark D captained the younger team. There were lots of supporters around too and lots of KLB parents to help out with the barbecue and refreshments. It was a great day of shinty and the weather was kind to us too. Our older team played excellently well and won the 14 & Under section taking home the gold medals and the cup. Struan was also named junior player of the tournament and given a shield as a memento of his day. Farr A took the silver medals and Wick came in third place. Farr C won the Open section in a very tight race to the trophy with Thurso and Farr A who came second and third respectively. Chris Smith from Thurso was named the Senior Player of the Tournament and he also took home a shield. We are very proud of all our young players who took part on Saturday and look forward to next season and lots more shinty.
