Last Saturday, the young players who hope to climb Ben Nevis in June, went on a practise to Sandwood Bay, a walk of around 8.5 miles return. They set off at 10.30 am from Sheigra following the coast to Sandwood. They arrived at 12.45 pm and sat down to enjoy their lunch in the beautiful weather. They then had a game of tug o war with a rope found in the dunes. They set off on the return journey via the foot path and joined the Sheigra peat road at Loch na Gaimimh. They returned to the bus around 3.30pm with a few blisters and a lot of sand! Thanks to Margaret Jones and John and Alison Wood for giving up their Saturday to take the group out.
