On saturday 19 P5-7 players from KLB, Achfary and Scourie primaries represented KLB Camanachd juniors in the North of Scotland Primary First Shinty Festival in Wick.  Half the players had been involved last year in Thurso and were really looking forward to taking part as well as our new P5 recruits!  It was a really busy day with the teams competing in 2 different leagues hoping to get through to the semi-finals and try to retain the trophy they had won last year.  All 3 teams worked really hard and showed good sportmanship throughout the day winning some games and losing some others but keeping their heads up and just enjoying the day for what it was. Our teams didn't make it through to the semi-finals which they were very disappointed about but they cheered on Farr and Thurso in a hard fought final before we handed the trophy over to a thrilled Thurso team.  Unfortunately Thurso and Farr can't go to the finals in Fort William this weekend due to other committments but have asked us to go in their place as C&S reps so we have agreed to do this so the area will be represented there.  The P7 team will be travelling down on Saturday and will hopefully have as good a day as last year.
