Camanachd Cup Success for Fort William
16 September 2008

On Saturday morning 10 players and 6 brave adults made the trip down to Fort William to support Fort William in the Camanachd Cup Final against Kingussie.  We got there nice and early and got ourselves in a prime position beside the kingussie goal in the hope of seeing Fort William scoring in front of us.  Unfortunately The Fort were down 1-0 at half time thanks to an amazing strike by Ronald Ross.   We decided to move round to the other side at half time to keep our support for Fort William going.  They came out fighting in the second half and scored 2 fantastic goals courtesy of James Clark and the whole team displayed some amazing defense to stiffle the shooting power of Ronald Ross.  The final score was 2-1 to Fort William!!!!  We enjoyed celebrating after the final whistle and we met lots of the players, got sticks and shirts signed and even got our hands on the Camanachd Cup itself!  The next day we went up Aonach Mor in the Gondolas and saw some amazing views.  We got home about 5pm on Sunday after having a fantastic weekend away and hoping that fort reach the final next year so we can do it all again!!
