Care Inspectorate
The Isobel Fraser Home, like all care homes, is regulated by the Care Inspectorate. The Care Inspectorate regularly visit us and assess us on a variety of measures.
The Home altered its charitable status in 2018 to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This meant that we had to re-register with the Care Inspectorate, virtually as a “new” care home. Our first inspection under the new arrangement was carried out in July 2018. The Care Inspectorate’s report can be found here.
On the four main criteria that the Inspectorate use, we were graded as follows:
- Quality of care and support 4 - Good
- Quality of environment 4 - Good
- Quality of staffing 4 - Good
- Quality of management and leadership 4 – Good
The Inspectorate also made several recommendations which have either been implemented or are currently being implemented.
For comparison, the previous report (May 2017) can be found here.
If you have any queries about the inspections, please feel free to contact us.
