Bronze Casting

by Inverness YAC - 16:15 on 20 July 2018

Several members of YAC recently attended an experimental archaeology workshop on bronze casting. They saw demonstrations of using bronze casting to make a pin and a sword, as well as seeing several replica bronze age tools, and a demonstation of copper ring making.

The event was a big success, with some of the YAC members attending giving the following comments:

"I liked watching the bronze being poured into the mould"

"I learned about how the bronze has to be kept a certain temperature to work."

"I liked the copper ring making"

"I liked seeing the sword being cast"
