This was going to either make or break us. We played some of the best football I’ve ever seen from our Pollard also added “I will have to praise the boys on there professional attitude and the way they played this game. We have been telling them that they have to be one unit and push themselves to their limit. With only five more games to go we are setting ourselves up for the big showdown on the 11th April when we meet New Elgin” On very windy day it only took City 20 minutes to find their first goal. Jamie Fraser played a ball over the top for Turner to run on to and put City in the lead. Only seven minutes later City scored a carbon copy of the first goal when Keith Mason played a ball over the top again for Sanderson to round the keeper to score city’s second. On the 38th minute City found their third when Keith Mason and Gary Miller both fumbled the ball over the line. Both claimed the goal as they both did connect with the ball at the same time. City started the second half with a three goal advantage but this was short lived when Whitehills pulled one back in just the first minute of the half. City restored their three goal advantage on the 60th minute when Miller was up ended in the box. MacDonald made no mistake and sent the keeper the wrong way. In the 83rd minute Murdoch came on and his first touch was to smash the ball in to the top corner to put City 5-1 up. The last minute of the game produced probably the goal of the season. With no less than 23 passes City passed the ball round the whole park without a single Whitehills player managing to get close to the ball. McCraw finished the perfect move to finish the game 6-1 to City. Team: Kerr, MacDonald, D. Beaton, Mapplebeck, K. Fraser, J. Fraser (C. Mason 75), K.
