OUR HOME GROUND

The Northern Meeting Park is steeped in history and has played host to many different sports and games over the years.  The ground is situated in the heart of the city's cultural quarter, flanked by St. Andrew's Cathedral, Eden Court Theatre and the Highland Council's headquarters building on Glenurquhart Road.

The Society of Northern Meeting was founded in June 1788 to organise social activities such as balls, hunts and piping competitions. In 1822 the Society gave financial help for a Highland Games held at Dunaincroy. These games became an annual feature from 1837 with the Society building the Northern Meeting Park in Ardross Street, Inverness to host the event.
