New Elgin 3 Inverness City 3 Inverness City shared the points with New Elgin in a thrilling game. City co-manager Mike Pollard says "This was a must win game but considering how the game went, we have to be happy with a point. We played a very good New Elgin side who deserve leading this league. It was a great game to watch but for the management, it's no wonder we're going grey!"
It was in the first minute that City's defence were caught napping with New Elgin's forward found himself unmarked to put New Elgin in the lead.
It was only six minutes later when Elgin found themselves two in front when City didn't clear their lines and were punished.
On the 17th minute, Michael Turner received the ball on the edge of the box, who turned and shot in to the top corner to pull one back for City.
On the half hour mark, Jamie Fraser was upended in the box but the New Elgin keeper pulled off a great save from the McCraw penalty.
City found the equaliser on the 37th minute when Andrew Allan headed City's second. Both sides were squandering chances but it wasn't until the 54th minute that New Elgin regained the lead after the ball smashed in to City's net after a scuffle in the box.
City left it until injury time to find the equaliser when a similar scuffle resulted in McCraw smashing the ball home for both teams to share the points.
