Following the public launch of West Wales Belly Dance at the Cardigan Carnival and Belly Dance Festival in August, I'm pleased to let you all know that there is now a new public Facebook group for West Wales Belly Dance. WWBD now extends to 4 counties: Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Powys. This new group will be the place to keep yourself up-to-date with all things belly dance, find out about events, post things for sale, post inspirational video clips from YouTube and ask general questions of the West Wales Belly Dance community. The public Imago Facebook group will eventually be replaced by a closed group for the Imago classes and active dancers, which has been created and you can ask to join. Other WWBD teachers will also have their own groups according to their classes or locations, whatever works best for them. There is also a closed teachers' group, and the teachers will be meeting regularly, to share best practice in teaching and technique, and hatch plans for events. Imago Belly Dance remains independent, but is now officially part of a bigger, happier dance family!
