Mandi Smith, Lead Heart Failure Nurse for NHS Highland, has been nominated for the BHF 'Ambassador of the Year' award in recognition of the work and support she gives to patients across the Highlands who have heart failure.

The BHF are looking to celebrate high-quality services and patient care, the category of 'Ambassador' recognises healthcare professionals who demonstrate a level of commitment above and beyond the remit of their role.   The awards will be presented on 3rd June at the BHF Conference Awards Dinner which is being held in Manchester.

Mandi said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been short listed for this award. Although I will admit to feeling slightly daunted after receiving the call to let me know I was short listed!
I’m looking forward to attending the ceremony and we will just wait and see what happens on the night!”
