A number of you volunteered for and were involved in the international, multi-centred trial of a new drug for heart failure called LCZ696   This clinical trial was entitled the Paradigm–HF trial and was run by the drug firm Novartis.

Such has been the success of the trial that Novartis has closed the study early and will now present there results to the global pharmaceutical regulators, and they are confident that this new drug will receive approval for use.
