Professor Anna Dominiczak has been recognised as a 'Woman With Heart' by the British Heart Foundation which is profiling the work of women who are making a difference to heart patients' lives across the UK.

Professor Dominiczak is Regius Professor of Medicine, Vice Principal and Head of College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow as well as honorary consultant physician with the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board.   In 2005 her services to medicine were recognised by the Queen who awarded her with an OBE.

A graduate of the Medical School in Gdansk, Poland, Prof Dominiczak, is one of the world’s leading cardiovascular scientists and clinical academics.   She specialises in helping patients who don't respond to the usual treatments for high blood pressure.
