An interactive e-learning programme on developed by NHS Highland Cardiology staff has won at this year’s Thrombus Innovation Awards

The Thrombus Innovation Awards are designed to highlight projects that demonstrate innovation and excellence and have improved the delivery of services to patients.

Charlie Bloe, Clinical Manager for the Coronary Care Unit in Raigmore Hospital , started developing an ‘Atrial Fibrillation’ programme 18 months ago which aims to educate healthcare workers on the link between Atrial Fibrillation and stroke.
He said: “I’m absolutely delighted that we won the award. Just to have it nominated was an incredible boost so to win is fantastic.
